SNCO

*Aim:

1.Build relationship with other corps

*Expectation:

1.Work closely with other corps

2. Don't fall out during the camp

3. Basic disciplines must be there (eg. nice, tidy hair)

*Tips:

-Exercise regularly before the camp

-don't get much sleep

*In camp they look out for...

1. Attitude

2. Character-you can be a leader or team member in your group

3. skills

*POP- August

-PS. Do not bring too much valubles.

If bring handphone,must surrender.

No PSP etc.

Imformation for SNCO!

Date: 18th - 21st June 2010

*18th June- report at Pei Cai Secondary School, fall in at the parade square at 7.30am.

(Those who is late may be disqualified)

Venue: Pei Cai Secondary School

*Bring(1st day of camp):

-Poncho

-2 groundsheet (for each cadet)

-1.5 litre ice mountain water bottle x3

-500ml ice mountain water bottle x1

-First Aid Kit x2 from each corp

-3 to 4 white school based shirts (I will ask madn about this as we only have zone tee)

-Dark coloured shorts(eg.black or dark blue) *NO FBT!

-White socks *NO ANKLE LENGTH SOCK!

*DUN NEED TO BRING FULL UNIFORM!!!(dun be too happy,there will be lots of physical stuff)

Hello Bravo,

Here's a story I would like to share:

The Story of Geese

As each goose flaps its wings it creates an "uplift" for the birds that follow. By flying in a "V" formation, the whole flock adds 71% greater flying range than if each bird flew alone.

When a goose falls out of formation, it suddenly feels the drag and resistance of flying alone. It quickly moves back into formation to take advantage of the lifting power of the bird immediately in front of it.

When the lead goose tires, it rotates back into formation and another goose flies to the point position.

The geese flying in formation honk to encourage those up front to keep up their speed.

When a goose gets sick, wounded or shot down, two geese drop out of formation and follow it to help and protect it. They stay with it until it dies or is able to fly again. Then, they launch out with another formation or catch up with the flock.

Each of the paragraph above tells us one story.
And the above are 5 stories that spells TEAMWORK.
(1) People who share a common direction succeed.
(2) Be willing to accept their help and give our help to others.
(3) Take turns leading difficult tasks.
(4) Encouragement is important in a group.
(5) Stand by each other in difficult times.

Do you foresee teamwork in your platoon?

Is teamwork a a collection of brilliant minds
or a brilliant collection of minds?

Wearing the same shirts doesn't make you a team.
Reminding each other to keep your physical
appearance appropriate doesn't make you a team.
To some of you, these are all probably
done on the surface to prevent scoldings.
But one thing for sure about teamwork I know -
is that teamwork comes from the HEART.

Even the famous inventor
Thomas Edison
had 21 assistants to aid his success -
"If I could solve all the problems myself, I would."

Basketball prodigy
Michael Jordan
also believes that
"Talent wins games, but teamwork
and intelligence wins championships."

What is your goal for Bravo then?

Coming together is a beginning.
Keeping together is progress.
Working together is success.

Name Tags Reminder

Hello Bravo,

Here are some reminders.

Name tags
Remember to stick a white paper behind your name tags so that it aligns with the name tag. Name tags will be provided. Well done for your bottle tags.

Camp Tees
Do standardise amongst yourselves the shirts to bring for camp. On the 3rd day, you guys will be wearing the new Camp Tee provided. Any odd one out on camp day will have a tea session with me at an ungodly hour.

Social Night
You guys will have to put up 2 items. Take note that the total duration of your performance is 15 minutes. We will talk about that again. I give you some ideas to let you have a gist of it, not to worry.

For now, enjoy your holidays and do your holiday homework!
